Atheoreticalinvestigationhasbeencarriedouttoanalyzetheopticalfocusingelectromagneticfieldbyaperfectelectromagneticconductorellipticalreflectorinun-magnetizedplasmaenvironment.Thepresentedanalysisandformulationsaregeneralforanyperfectconductorellipticalcylinder(PEC,PMC,orPEMC).Theco-polarizedandthecross-polarizedcomponentsofthefocalregionelectromagneticfieldexpressionshavebeenobtainedusingMaslovrsquo;smethod.TheelectromagneticfieldbehaviorsatCausticorfocalpointforthecasesofPEMC,PEC(perfectelectricconductor)andPMC(perfectmagneticconductor)ellipticalreflectorhavebeencomputedandcompared.ThebehavioroftheelectromagneticfieldbehaviorsatCausticorfocalpointwiththevariationoftheadmittanceparameter,plasmafrequencyandeffectivecollisionfrequencyfortheco-polarizedandthecrosspolarizedfieldsisalsoinvestigated.Thecomparisonsofthecomputedresultsofthepresentedformulationswiththepublishedresultsofsomespecialcasesconfirmtheaccuracyofthepresentedanalysis.
