Inourwork,wesynthesizedzincoxide(ZnO)nanowires(NWs)byasimplesolvothermalmethod.ZincacetateandNaOHwereusedastheprecursorsandethanolasthesolvent.Thesynthesisprocessisone-stepandcouldproduceamassofZnONWswithsmalldiametersandhighaspectratios.Thissolvothermalmethodisnotcriticallysensitivetothegrowthtemperaturefrom100oCto150oC.ForthemajorityofsynthesizedZnONWs,thelengthsanddimensionsarearound1um~10umand10nm~40nm,respectively.Wealsodiscussedtheeffectofsolventsonthemorphologiesofsynthesizednanomaterialsbetweensolvothermalandhydrothermalmethods.Then,weemployedamicrofiltrationmethodforthefabricationofZnOnanowiresfilm(NF).Consequently,ZnONWswerestackedonthemicrofiltrationmembraneformingathinnanoporousfilm.Afterdriedinroomtemperature,thethinZnONFcouldbewhollystrippedofffromthemembrane.TheZnONWsandNFwerecharacterizedbyX-raydiffraction(XRD),scanningelectronmicroscope(SEM).TheXRDandSEMfiguresshowthattheZnONWsaresinglecrystalswithwurtzitecrystalstructure.
