The Study of the Sawtooth Oscillations in Tokamaks Using Mapping Models

An approach based on the mapping technique is developed in order to reconstruct the evolution of the stochastic magnetic field during the crash stage of the sawtooth instability. The influence of the minimum value of the safety factor and the amplitude of the perturbations on the reconnection process was systematically studied.
