Laser beam in the service of paintings restoration

摘要

Laser cleaning as a particular application of laser ablation became in the last years asubject of interest due to the applications in cultural heritage restoration and conservation. For a safeapplication of laser cleaning in paintings cleaning and restoration analyses of laser radiationinteraction with painting materials was realised and a laser cleaning system was developed. The workwas realized in the frame of FP6 European Research Programme.
