Myelodysplastic syndromes: Genetics and Epigenetics Basis and Their Clinical Relevance

摘要

To perform a narrative review on the genetics and epigenetics basis of myelodysplastic syndromes and their clinical relevance. Data sources: MEDLINE databases and Ovid database were searched. The search was performed on September 2016 and included articles published from 2002 to 2016 in English language. Study selection: The initial search presented 30 articles which were included to the study. Conclusions: We found that Genetic and Epigenetic mutations are common in MDS patients and have a great role in diagnosis, prognosis and response to treatment in Myelodysplastic Syndromes.
