Non-parametric study of the attitude of civil servants towards made-in-Nigeria goods (A Case Study of Owerri Urban, Imo State, Nigeria)

This study tends to analyze the attitude of civil servants towards made-in-Nigeria goods in Owerri Urban, Imo State. It is an attempt to provide a general picture of the level of acceptability of these goods and ways of raising their quality standards so as to increase demand. The analysis using the Chi-square test showed that the opinion of civil servants on the prices of made in Nigeria goods are independent of sex, educational attainment, level of income and various ages of the civil servants. The analysis using the non-parametric Friedman test revealed that that there is at least a factor that is responsible for the low quality and less durability of made in Nigeria goods. The analysis using the non-parametric Kruskal Wallis test concluded that the suggested opinions are the ways of raising the quality standards of made in Nigeria goods so as to increase demand.
