Mathematical formulations for stiffness of the composite, reinforced by “8” shape three dimensional woven fabric, were investigated utilizing four supporting methods from different directions of "8" shape in composite. The supporting, methods were divided into top-warp, top-weft, bottom-warp, and bottom-weft supporting methods, and the mechanical modeling of all supporting methods were set up. As the first part of the research, mathematical formulations for stiffness were deduced theoretically for all supporting methods.
