longitudinal cohort studyThis longitudinal cohort study was to assess the trends of hip fractureincidence and pharmacologic treatment after hip fracture of person 50yr of age between 2003 and 2015 of National Health Insurance ServiceNational Sample Cohort (NHIS-NSC).Incidence of hip fracture increased in worldwide countries over recentyears. However, there were limited information for the incidence of hipfracture and pharmacologic treatment after hip fracture.The data managed by NHIS-NSC were used to identify the hip fractures inpatients aged >50 years between 2002 and 2015. Sex-specific incidencerate (per 100,000 person-years) were calculated based on that estimatedfor the Korea population (Korea Cencus 2011). And we calculated theproportion receiving the bisphosphonate after within 1 years after hipfracture.
