摘要

The writer of this work has gathered together previously unpublished material on the life of Arthur Nicolaier in an effort to bring this virtually forgotten figure of German medicine – who entered medical history when, at the age of 22, he discovered the causal agent of tetanus – back to life, both for health professionals and for the public at large.
