摘要

The antineutrino source on the base of 7 Li activation by neutrons produced by accelerator target and subsequent β ? -decay of 8 Li with emission of ν ? e is proposed. The hard ν ? e -spectrum is a feature of the source ( E ν ? max = 13 MeV , E ν ? ≈ 6.5 MeV ) in compare with reactor one. The analyses of 8 Li yield for the proposed solution of 7 LiOD in D 2 O allows to decrease the amount of very pure 7 Li mass by factor of ~9 and to diminish the source size in 2.5 times, what is critical for sterile neutrino search.
