http://dx.doi.org/10.5902/223611704988 In this work we carried out a diagnostic system of waste management in veterinary clinicsMossoró-RN, in order to support arguments and directions for the generation of a tool forimproving the system of waste management and meet health standards for adequacy legislation.These aspects were considered the need to improve, upgrade and expansion of practices currentlyused in order to preserve public health and environmental quality. This diagnosis were evaluatedlevels of adherence to the following principles: biosecurity, to employ technical measures,administrative and regulatory issues to prevent accidents, making the diagnosis and managementzoning of all RSS generated by the Veterinary Clinics of the Mossoró, based on the standards andlegal requirements, from the moment of its generation to its final destination.
