Fractures involving the orbital ?oor, along with the infraorbital ridge,leading to a communication with the maxillary sinus and pushingits contents thereof into it, are called impure blow out fractures.The diagnosis of these fractures is based on palpation physicalexamination and evaluation of signs and symptoms such as periorbitalecchymosis, bruises, enophthalmos, diplopia and restriction of eyemovements, x-rays and cat Scan.The treatment consists of surgicalacess into the fracture site where the reconstruction can be donewith the implantation of the appropriate biomaterial, according tosize of the fracture and choice of the surgeon. This study reports thereconstruction of a large defect of the orbital ?oor with titanium platesystem, considering their mechanical properties and main indications.
