Este artigo discorre sobre a temática da Educa??o a Distancia (EaD) e a necessidade da forma??o de equipes interdisciplinares com participa??o do bibliotecário. Apresenta um breve panorama da evolu??o da EaD no Brasil, a fim contextualizar o assunto. Sugere que para o sucesso de um projeto de curso a distancia, o bibliotecário participante da equipe de EaD deve atuar como mediador da informa??o, no ambiente de aprendizagem dos cursos, com o propósito de contribuir para a constru??o do conhecimento e para o desenvolvimento da Competência Informacional de alunos e da equipe como um todo. This article is about distance learning and the necessity to form interdisciplinary teams along with the librarian. It shows a brief comprehensive survey on the distance learning in Brazil, in order to contextualize this subject. This study implies that the librarian should work as an intermediate of the information so that its success can be reached, in the environment of learning of the courses, with the purpose of contributing to the developing of the knowledge and informational literacy of the students and the the team all together.
