Construction industry is considered as one of the most important industries inPalestinian economy. It is a complicated industry with multi stakeholders, in unstablecircumstances. The aim of this paper is to study coordination duties in Gaza Stripconstruction projects. Literature review led to identify 79 coordination duties, whichclassified into six groups. A survey was conducted by filling 184 arbitratedquestionnaire. An exploratory factor analysis was applied to categorize the duties intoclusters. Case study was investigated to verify the questionnaires results. The resultsshowed the rank of groups as below; contract implementation group (79.34%), qualityand performance group (78.95%), planning and scheduling group (78.90%), health andsafety group (78.14%), budget and cash flow group (77.85%) and resources and teammanagement group (76.11%). The most important duties were, contributing in planpreparing for project procurement, implementation and tracking with RII of 87.89 %.Then, follow up the implementation of all contractual commitments, with RII of 87.09%. Gaza Strip construction environment, as external donors working area, makecoordination process critical in project success. There is an essential need for assigninga coordinator for each construction project and provide them with suitablecommunications and transportation facilities.
