ThisresearchwasdirectedtowardobtainingtheamountforsoilandclimaticfactorsthatinfluencegrowthandqualityofKikuyograss(Pennisetumclandestinum)infourregionsofthedepartmentofNari?o,Colombia:Guachucal(zone1)withaltituderangeof2800at3200metersabovesealevel,AldanaandIpiales(Zone2)withvaluesofaltitudebetween2800and3049metersabovesealevel,Pasto(zone3)inanelevationrangeof2400to2799metersabovesealevelandfinallyinthemunicipalityofLaFloridawithanaveragealtitudeof2077metersabovesealevel.Withineachareatherearethreelocationsthatwereusedassamples,whichwereplacedinbatches,inwhichtheKikuyograss(Pennisetumclandestinum)spontaneouslyshowedremarkableproductionpersquaremeter,oftheselocalitiesweresampledsoilandgrasslaboratoryforfurtheranalysisbywhichtheycalculatethevalueofdieteticsandsoilchemicalvariables,thecalculationofphysicalsoilvariablesandbiologicalvariablesandconductedfieldtrials.Theresultsrevealedacloserelationshipbetweenproductionvolumeandqualityofgrassandorganicmattercontentinsoil,whichinturnwasaffectedbythepHofbiologicalactivityinthesame,andfurthermorethephysicalcharacteristicsmorerelevanttothedevelopmentofKikuyograsswerethefieldcapacityandinfiltrationthatfavorthegrowthofthegrasstotheextentthattheformerincreasesandtheseconddecreases.
