Withtheobjectiveofdeterminingthefactorsthatinfluenceinthefirstcalvinginterval(PIDP)inbovinefemalesunderthesystemofdoublepurposeinthefarmtheRodeo,municipalityofMagangué,Bolivar#8211;Colombia,wereused379datesfromtheproductiverecordsamongtheyears1993to2002;usingthestatisticalprogramGLMoftheStatisticalAnalysisSystem(SAS2001),wherethestandarddeviationandthestockingofeachvariationsourcewereobtained.Intheanalysistheywerekeptinmindtheeffectsyears,childbirthtime,agetothefirstchildbirth,sexraises,racialgroupandIweightothe24months(firstservice).nbsp;ThemeanforPIDPwasof469days;theeffectcalvingtimeweresignificantforthedurationofthePIDP.Theeffectsyearofbirth,agetothefirstcalving,sex,weighttothe24monthsandbreedgroupitwasnotsignificantonthePIDP.
