Thisstudyaimedtodetectchangesinthethermalprofileofnaturallyhelminth-infectedSpix#8217;syellow-toothedcaviestreatedwithaqueousgarlicextract.Fifteennon-pregnantmaturefemaleswererandomlydividedintothreegroups,withfiveanimalspergroup.ParasitologicalexaminationsrevealedmoderateinfectionbyAncylostomidaeforallgroupsatthebeginningofthetrial.Onegroupwastreatedwithasingledoseofananthelminticsolution.Theothertwogroupsweretreatedwith500#956;lofaqueousgarlicextractatconcentrationof30and60mg/ml.Microclimaticconditionswerecontinuouslymonitoredwhileinfraredthermalimageswerebeingtakenbyathermographyccamera.Thehigh-concentrationgarlicextractwasmoreeffectiveincontrollingAncylostomidaeinfection.Surfacetemperatureofthecaviesdidnotchangeinresponsetodifferentinfectionlevels.
