nbsp;Theobjectiveoftheexperimentwastoexploretheeffectofthephosphorus(P)supplementationonPelibueyewes,intermsofreproductiveactivitypostpartum.Forty-fourpregnanteweswereusedandweresplitintotwogroups.TwentythreeweresupplementedwithP(E)and21without(T).Eweshadathreemonthpregnancy.AllewesgrazedanirrigatedpaddockofAfricanStarGrass(Cynodonplectostachyus),andreceived75g/day/animalofabalancedfeedlowinP.TheEgroupreceivedamineralmixturewith20.9%ofCaand11.5%ofP,thesourceofPwascalciumorthophosphate.TheTgroupreceivedthesamemineralmixturebutwithoutP,andwith11.5%ofCa.Heatobservationswererecordedtwiceaday,usingandrogenizedfemalesandentiremales.Femalesinheatwereservicedbynaturalmating.Thelambsreceivedsupplementationandwereweanedat90days.Every15daysbloodsamplesweretakentodeterminelevelsofCaandP(n=5).Afterlambinganduntiloestrus,every15days,concentrationsofCaandPinribnumbertwelveweredetermined.Grasswassampledevery21daysforCaandPconcentrations.TheresultsdidnotshowdifferencesbetweenEandT(P0.05)inthetimeintervalfrompartumtofirstestrus.ThelevelsandconcentrationsofCaandPinserumandboneweresimilarinbothgroups.ThePsupplementationdidnotaffectthelambliveweightatbirthneitheratweaning.ItisconcludedthatPsupplementationdidnotaffecttheproductivitypospartumofthePelibueyeweonpasture.nbsp;
