Thestudyoftheeffectofthelevelofincorporationofthemolassesandthesourceoftheruminalfluidoninvitrodigestibilityofthemaizestovertreatedwith5%ureawith28%ofpoultrydroppingwasconductedinCamerouninMay2013.ChemicalcompositionanalysisofmaizestoverwasdoneaccordingtotheAOACmethods(2000).Twosourcesofruminalliquid(fromsheepandgoat)andthreelevelsofmolasses(0;5and10%)wereusedforthisstudy.RuminalfluidofbothaDjalonkélambandtheAfricanDwarfgoatwereseparatelycollectedandincubatedwith500mgoffeedsample(500mgofmaizestovernot-associatedorassociatedwith5or10%ofmolasses)at39°Cinawaterbath,aspergas-testmethod.nbsp;Theresultsofthisstudyshowedthat,theadditionofmolassesinfeedsignificantly(P0.05)improvedthelevelofgasproductionafter24hofmaizestovertreatedwith5%urearegardlesstheruminalfluid.Thesametendencywasobservedwiththisparameterwhenmaizestoversweretreatedwith28%ofpoultrydroppingassociatedatvariouslevelsofmolassesaddition.Thedrymattermineralizedweresignificantlyinfluenced(p0.05)bytheadditionofmolassestomaizestovertreatedwithurea5%,aswellwiththesheepnbsp;ruminalliquidasthegoatone.Generallygoatrumenfluidgavethebestresults.
