Food value of local oilseeds and derivatives in animal feed: case of small groundnut “kaloise” Algeria

ThecultureofthegroundnutisatraditionalagriculturalactivityoftheregionofElKala(Algeria)whichtendstodeclineforlackofoutlet.Itsvalorisationaswellasthatofitsderivativesinthefeedingofthecattlestaysafavourablealternativeforitsevolutioninthedistributionchannels.nbsp;Fromthepointofviewofchemicalcomposition,itsmainbigpointiswithoutcontextthewealthintotalnitrogenofitsoilcake(60%)andhaulmespeciallyaftertreatmentintheurea(22%).TherateofAcidDetergentLignin(ADL)whichislowintheoilcakenbsp;(3,4%)islowerthan10%inhaulmandconfertotheselastonesadigestibilityoforganicmatterbetween60and66%andadegradabilityofthenitrogenvaryingbetween52and72%.Thevaluesofthefodderunityforthelactation(UFL)andofthefodderunityforthemeat(UFV)oftheoilcake(0,95and0,85)nbsp;allowstobearawmaterialfortheformulationofconcentrates.Thebasicrationwhichcanberecommendedthroughhaulm(0,70UFLand0,61UFV)willcanallowagoodlevelofdairyproductionorweightygain.Itstreatmentwiththeureawillreducetheimbalanceenergyitrogenbyabettervalueoftheintestinaldigestiveproteins(PDI)broughtbythetreatment.
