Farmers’ attitude towards utilization of draught bullocks in Indian agriculture

TheattitudeleveloffarmerstowardsutilizationofdraughtbullockswasassessedinTamilNadustateinSouthIndiausing210farmers(70small,70mediumand70largefarmers)assamplesize.Anattitudescalewasconstructedtomeasuretheattitudeoffarmerstowardsutilizationofdraughtbullocks,followingLikertmethodofsummatingrating,whichwasadministeredtoassesstheattitudeofthefarmerstowardsutilizationofdraughtbullocksinagriculture.nbsp;Majorityoftheoverallrespondents(89percent)hadfavourableattitudefollowedbyneutral(8.1percent)andunfavourableattitude(2.9percent).Theprofileofthefarmersusingdraughtbullockswasstudiedandassociationstudiesbetweentheprofilecharacteristicsofthefarmersandtheirattitudewasalsocarriedout.
