Analysis of indians’ image in Dances with Wolves

摘要

Dances With Wolves has been regarded as a landmark in western films. Indians’ image is reshaped in this movie. This paper is to illuminate this transformation by focusing on the major characters in this movie, by which we can find out the transformation of public attitude toward American Indians and Indians’ awakening to keep their national couture.
