Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application of quality control(QCC)activities in prevention of falls of inpatients. Methods 〓To set up a QCC group and to retrospectively analyzed the falls events of inpatients between April, 2014 and March, 2015. The corresponding nursing measures were carried out to prevent the falls of inpatients between April, 2015 and March, 2016. The incidence of falls was compared before and after implementation of QCC activities. The problem-solving ability of QCC group members was evaluated. Results 〓The incidence of falls before implementation of QCC activities was 0.244‰, which was higher than 0.078‰ after implementation of QCC activities(P0.05). QCC members achieved better performance in assessment of QCC abilities such as team spirit and problem-solving skills. Conclusion 〓QCC activity can effectively reduce the incidence of falls of inpatients and improve the problem-solving skills of group members.
