Abstract：Objective To investigate the nursing measures of the differentiated thyroid carcinoma(DTC)patients receiving iodine-131(131I)treatment after surgery. Methods 〓Totally 83 patients after thyroidectomy for DTC were given 131I treatment and enhanced nursing measures. During 131I treatment, the patients' conditions and adverse reaction of therapy were observed carefully. Results 〓All patients received an improved condition after completing the 131I treatment and discharged from hospital. There were 7 cases of mild swelling in the neck, 2 cases of respiratory irritation and 1 case of urethritis during treatment. Conclusion 〓It is required to carry out corresponding examinations and health education before 131I treatment, and to provide medication and living guidance, as well as radiation prevention and management for adverse reactions.
