Abstract:Objective To investigate the cognition of chemotherapy protection in junior nurses, and to provide effective training and protection measures. Methods The selfmade chemotherapy protection questionnaire was used to investigate the cognition of 94 junior nurses. Results The result of investigation showed that inadequate knowledge of chemotherapy protection, lack awareness of selfprotection, poor implementation rate of nursing standardized operation, insufficient training arrangement and deficient protection facilities equipment were main defects. Conclusion It is suggested to pay more attention on enhancing the occupational protection and chemotherapy protection, strengthening management system, improving the selfprotection awareness by multiple ways of training, regulating protection behavior, in order to reduce the occupational exposure of junior nurses.
