Abstract:Objective To investigate the health status of elderly people and to provide the related health education interventions. Methods To retrospectively analyze the physical examination data of 2708 cases of retired people, and to analysis the rate of common diseases in different age groups(1286 cases aged between 55 and 64, 918 cases aged between 64 and 74, 458 cases aged between 75 and 84, 46 cases aged 85 or over). The corresponding health education program was carried out to elderly from different aged groups. Results The incidence of hyperlipemia, fatty liver, hyperuricemia, hyperglycemia and hypertension was 32.75%, 24.78%, 19.79%, 18.54%, 45.72%, respectively. The rate of disease mentioned above was higher in people aged between 55 and 64 compared with that of elderly people from other aged groups. Conclusion It is recommend to provide regular health education for elderly people, for the purpose of reducing risk of hyperlipemia, fatty liver, hyperuricemia, hyperglycemia and hypertension related disease.
