：Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of external application of Ruyi Jinhuang powder combined with hydrocolloid dressings in prevention of cinobufagin-induced phlebitis. Methods 〓Totally 30 patients with intravenous treatment of cinobufagin were assigned to the study group and the control group, with 15 cases in each group. Hydrocolloid dressing was used to prevent the cinobufagin-induced phlebitis in both two groups, and patients in the study group were given external application of Ruyi Jinhuang powder. The incidence of cinobufagin-induced phlebitis and pain degree of patients were compared between two groups. Results 〓The incidence of cinobufagin-induced phlebitis was 13.00%(2/15)in the study group and 40.00%(6/15)in the control group, with a significant difference(P0.05). The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)of pain was lower in the study group than that in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The combined use of Ruyi Jinhuang powder and hydrocolloid dressings is effective to prevent the cinobufagin-induced phlebitis and reduce the pain degree of patients.
