Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of abdominal acupoint massage on prevention of urinary retention after cervical cancer operation. Methods A total of 40 operation patients with cervical cancer in our hospital from January to December 2015 were in the observation group, and they were given abdominal massage to prevent postoperative urinary retention. Another 40 cases in our hospital from January to December 2014 were in the control group, and they were given routine nursing. Postoperative bladder function, urinary retention, and postoperative rehabilitation of two groups were compared. Results Bladder function was better, and the success rate of micturation in the observation group was higher than that in the control group. The incidence of urinary retention was lower than that in the control group, the residual urine volume was less than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P0.05). Incision pain score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, nursing satisfaction and comfort degree were higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P0.05). Conclusion Abdominal massage can effectively prevent the occurrence of urinary retention after cervical cancer operation, improve the comfort degree of patients, and promote their postoperative recovery.
