Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of acupuncture combined with rehabilitation nursing interventions on functional recovery of patients with neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury. Methods 〓Totally 54 patients with neurogenic bladder after spinal cord injury were assigned to the control group and the study group, with 27 cases in each group. Patients in both two groups received rehabilitation nursing interventions, and those in the study group were given extra acupuncture therapy. The clinical efficacy of nursing interventions was evaluated, and the residual urine volume and bladder capacity were recorded. Results 〓The overall efficacy rate in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P0.05). There was a decreased residual urine volume and increased bladder capacity in both two groups after the intervention, and patients in the study group had lower residual urine volume and higher bladder capacity compared with those in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The acupuncture combined with rehabilitation nursing interventions can reduce residual urine volume of patients and improve the neurogenic bladder recovery after spinal cord injury.
