The article is devoted to the education of natural worldview based on the study of the basic laws of mechanics and the possibility of using students of technical higher educational institutions of competences in the field of mathematical Sciences. The authors underscore the importance of “Theoretical mechanics” discipline as the basis of professional training bachelors in 151000 “Technological machines and equipment”. Special attention is given to interdisciplinary communication of “Theoretical mechanics” and of “Higher mathematics”, it is shown that the theoretical foundations and the practical work of the disciplines of the scientific and professional cycles need to rely on mathematical tools. The article discusses methods which are known for the use of students of technical higher educational institutions of basic knowledge and competences in the field of mathematical Sciences. Further reveals the experiences of teachers of General engineering disciplines branch Ufa state petroleum technical University in October, held in the direction of the second method, that is indicative of some of the groups of technical tasks and demonstrate mathematical methods, leading to their resolution. The article offers examples of effective formation of teachers of mathematics competence of students to use analytical and numerical methods and algorithms mathematics in solving technical problems. While emphasizing that teachers of mathematics need to express mathematical concepts and methods not only from the point of view of their logical development, and to a greater extent from the point of view of their application. Therefore, the author presents as the classification of competences in the field of methods of mathematical analysis and examples of applying the above knowledge and skills in the study of all three sections (statics, kinematics, dynamics) of theoretical mechanics. The authors believe that the comparison and integration of the list of competencies that are formed when studding of various disciplines, is one of the important ways of formation of professional competence of specialists that meet the requirements in the oil and gas industry.
