The traditional rural settlements, in general, receive less textual study tobe used for historical analysis (1). The insufficiency of textual evidenceregarding the remote rural settings becomes an important problem for thehistoriography of rural architecture. The material evidence of architectureinevitably becomes the principal source for understanding the historicaland cultural context of these settlements. Then, appropriate methodsshould be proposed in order to account for these architectural traditionsthrough material evidence
