Medical Student Education In Refugee Health and the Concept of a Medical Home

When refugees resettle in the UnitedStates, their health burdens are many andoften unusual, their stories are uniqueand compelling and their access to healthcare difficult. The evolution of theHasbro Hospital Refugee Health Clinichas not only addressed refugee health,but has provided an opportunity formedical student education. In the RefugeeHealth Clinic, medical students cancombine their medical knowledge andclinical skills, while putting advocacy atcenter stage.
