Emerging Therapies Toward a Functional Cure for Hepatitis B Virus Infection

RK? Population surveys have suggested that there are between 700,000 and 800,000 people living with hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in the United States. However, those population surveys tend to miss people with a high prevalence of HBV infection, including recent immigrants and institutionalized people. Altogether, it has been suggested that up to 1.5 to 2 million people in the United States may actually have HBV infection.
