Cerebellar cystic glioblastomas: An uncommon presentation of a rare disease and clinical review

Cerebellar glioblastomas (GBM) are uncommon posterior fossa lesions found in adults. Despite intratumoral apoplectic events beingcommon neurosurgical occurrences, it has rarely been described inposterior fossa GBM's. The impact of intratumoral cysts has been amatter of discussion, and their presence in the posterior fossa has beenrelated to benign lesions such as pilocytic astrocytoma's, haemangioblastoma's, or malignant lesions like metastasis, very rarely, malignantprimary glial lesions. An indolent clinical manifestation is not typical ofGBM's, particularly when considering a posterior fossa cystic lesion.Given the previous assumptions, we present a case of an intratumoralbleeding into a cystic, well-defined lesion diagnosed as a primary GBM.
