摘要

Utilities in the Australian state of New South Wales are coming to terms with their options for water desalina-tion infrastructure after recent heavy rains started to reverse low dam levels that had kicked off more interest in desal at the end of 2019. In the state capital Sydney, the New South Wales government has engaged state pricing regulator I PART to carry out a capi-tal cost review into a project aimed at dou-bling the capacity of the city's 250,000m~3/d Kurnell desalination plant. After solicit-ing submissions from interested parties, IPART is set to release an issues paper in March, following which it will look for fur-ther submissions.
