Preparation and structure of C,C,N-triaryl substituted imine: TiCl4–DABCO-mediated imination of 1-aroyl-2,7-dimethoxynaphthalene and spatial organization of the produced imine molecule in crystal

摘要

TiCl 4 –DABCO-mediated reaction of 1-monoaroylated 2,7-dimethoxynaphthalene compound and aromatic amine afforded triaryl-substituted imine compounds with/without cleavage of a methoxy group on the starting naphthalene compound. Three aromatic rings of methyl ether-cleaved imine molecule in crystal are accumulated perpendicularly to each other in crystal.
