摘要

The aim of this work is to provide elements for a theoretical and methodological discussion on the evaluation of school education, where the focus is to expand the discussion with remarks in the speech of teachers and their pedagogical praxis. This is a contentious issue, as it seeks to understand as has been the theory and practice of adult education teachers when assessing student learning. The statements of the different actors denote a critical understanding on the subject, but they can not go far beyond what the evaluation system provides. The field research was conducted at the Municipal School José Duarte de Azevedo with EJA Teachers from 5th to 8th grade. The approach of the study was based on qualitative research in which they sought the interpretive understanding of object analysis in questionnaires, and observations with records in Diary. The theme of the method of approach, it was possible from the deductive and dialectical method. It follows that the fundamental issue is not the amount in the act of evaluating, but especially the qualitative aspect of the information contained in this process, where there is a paradox to understand it as inevitable
