摘要

Describes the data providers, service providers and scientific journals available in Information Science, Library Science and related areas in Brazil and in the international scenario. It presents aspects about online scientific journals, indicating that this option has become more important in an open archives reality. Also emphasizes the need of more adequate human and material resources, to allow the maintenance and actualization of these journals, so they can contribute with the open access scientific communication system.
