Cysticercosis is a common disease in developing countries, but oral lesions caused by this parasitic infestation are rare. Buccal mucosa is a rare site for cysticercosis cellulosa. Very few cases of solitary cystercosis of buccal mucosa in paediatric patients have been reported. In this report we document a case of oral cysticercosis in a 8year old girl who sought treatment for asymptomatic nodule of the right buccal mucosa that had been clinically misdiagnosed as submucosal retention cyst.
