Design and Evaluation of the Transparent Liquid Leakage Sensing Device

Nowadays, most manufacturers and offices handleand use a large amount of liquid (water, seasonings, oil, etc.)every day to produce products and provide services to theircustomers. In general, liquid sensing devices are installedoutside of a tank to detect liquid leakage more quickly. Authorsconsidered that the transparent liquid sensor has potentialneeds from customers because of the existence of several typesof transparent tanks, but currently, there are no sensors withtransparency. In this paper, the 2-dimensional flexibletransparent liquid sensing device is proposed. This device wassuccessfully created with high light-transmission rate (84.9%),and could detect familiar liquids (e.g., tap water, distillatedwater, weak acid/alkali liquid, and strong acid/alkali liquid)with the exception of low electrical conductivity liquids (e.g., oiland alcohol). This sensing unit can be provided to the market atan affordable price by using printing technologies.
