This study aimed at exploring the effects of Funneliformis mosseae on soybean growth and the composition of bacterial community in the rhizosphere of continuous cropping soybean. Here, the colonization rate of arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi and soybean growth were analyzed and high throughput sequencing was applied to study whether F. mosseae could change the composition of bacterial community in the roots and rhizosphere soil of continuous cropping soybean at seedling stage. The results showed that colonization rate increased after the inoculation of F. mosseae. Increasing continuous cropping regimes was beneficial to mycorrhizal colonization. Inoculation of F. mosseae significantly improved soybean growth. However, the relative abundance of bacterial community in the rhizosphere soil was not influenced by inoculation. The dominant phylum was Proteobacteria in all the samples. At the genus level, both inoculation and continuous cropping regimes had significant effects on the dominant genus and their relative abundances in the roots. The major genera among rhizosphere soils were same and their relative abundances were only slightly different. The results provide new insights into the interactive effects of AM fungi and rhizobacteria and contribute to further study the effects of F. mosseae on alleviating replant diseases.
