The Tolerated Swith Off Time of Electrical Equipment

摘要

The purpose of this paper was to address the issue of energy consumption at the University of Newcastle, Australia. The research identified tolerated or acceptable amount of time in minutes per day that electrical appliances at the university can tolerate being cut off from electricity. To determine the results for this research, quantitative data was collected through a number of semi-structured interviews conducted with a mixture of participants ranging from students, staff and workers on the campus. This paper provided a framework for energy use of buildings and appliances thereby demonstrating design for energy conservation.
