摘要

The mass transport and potential characterization were carried out in a flow-through porous electrodereactor. Carbon particles of three different sizes were used as porous electrode. Silverelectrodeposition from an alkaline ammonia electrolyte is used as a test system. The experimental massc transport characterization (kma = bu ) showed that the value of the coefficient b depends on themagnitude of carbon particle, while c indicates that the flow pattern is a complex function of thecarbon particle size. The experimental potential drop in the flow-through porous electrode is alsoreported. The mass transport and potential characterization have been conducted to identify suitableoperating conditions.
