Petroleum Related Environmental Pollution in Nigeria: Potential Ways for Constraints

The upstream sectors have constantly viewed prompts on pollution popularly with disdain, the fact remains that it's one of the causes of rapid change in the natural environment regarding biodiversity. The after effects of pollution are immense and currently manifest as climate change however, there are simple solutions which require dedication and commitment to the course of environmental sustainability which can be achieved by remediating/minimizing and prevention of pollution. Petroleum related pollution in Nigeria has been viewed in all ramifications and potential solutions suggested in line with principles practiced in advanced countries. FEPA, which is the principal body responsible for monitoring, minimizing and remediating pollution can participate in the business of oil exploration and production and alongside integrating their role in the scheme of the business.
