摘要

Three simple and sensitive visible spectrophotometric methods (A-C) for the determination of Ethacridine Lactate in pure samples and pharmaceutical formulations are described. They are based on the formation of colored species by treating with Bratton-Marshall (B.M) reagent (Method A, λmax 480 nm) or Metol in the presence of Potassium iodate (Method B, λmax 520 nm) or 2, 2' -Bipyridine (2,2'-BPD) in presence of Ferric chloride (Method C, λmax 450 nm). These methods were extended to the analysis of pharmaceutical preparations and results are compared with the reference method (USP).
