Evaluation of an HIV/AIDS Education Training Workshop in Honduras

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of a training workshop on teacher outcomes. Teachers (n=532) attended a workshop in Tegucigalpa or in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. They were surveyed at the beginning and at the end of the four day workshop. Teachers increased their knowledge about HIV/AIDS, their comfort and confidence in teaching young people about topics relevant to HIV/AIDS prevention and commitment to implementing the curriculum.
