Purpose: Clinical aromatherapy is the one of the complimentarymedicines. It may be very helpful for elderlydementia care. It is reported that aromatherapy may reduceBPSD and improve the quality of care and thus the patient’sQOL. For this study the aroma hand massage for the elderlycommenced in medical institutions in Japan. We researchedthe efficacy of clinical aromatherapy in Integrative Medicinefor dementia patients and measured the effectiveness andsafety of clinical aromatherapy as routine care in a clinicalcare setting.
