Introduction: This study addresses some concepts about technology of image in the information science context. Delimit the study of digital video as image, technology and information. Purpose: To identify the relationships of digital video as concept of aesthetic information concept. Methodology: Bibliographic Research. Results: The main authors of the theoretical basis are Abraham Moles, Arlindo Machado, Philippe Dubois, Lev Manovich, Lucia Santaella, Yves-Fran?ois Le Coadic, Silvia Martin and Vilém Flusser. These authors address subject about image machines (photography, film, television, video and computer), Information Science and digital video. Conclusions: Digital video disappears in its specificity to resurface as a totalitarian presence at the computer and other technological devices. Information Science points of view, images are essentials for the construction process of knowledge of the audiovisual communication world.
