Lasing without Inversion in Three Level Atoms and Atomic Coherence Effects

We reviewed briefly about the concepts and physics behind lasing without inversion and atomic coherence effect. The discussion concentrates on the analysis of physical conditions under which a ∧-type three level system exhibits lasing without inversion. At the end of this review, a possible application of LWI was reported.
