Purpose and Hypothesis: The purpose of this study was to identify significance of the hinge position through comparison between medial open-wedge osteotomy and lateral closed-wedge osteotomy and to determine the ideal hinge position to minimize the effect of high tibial osteotomy on posterior tibial slope (PTS), medial proximal tibial angle (MPTA).
